Short Bio
Thanks for visiting my online portfolio, I hope you enjoy my digital artwork.
You're here to see my work so I'll keep it short:
I am a professional CG artist employed in the Los Angeles area by Blur Studio. I am 28 and have been building 3D visual content
professionally and personally for about 12 years now. I am especially interested in the creation of digital characters, both high polygon and realtime.
The question
I get asked most often is what software I use to create my work?
Currently I use 3ds max with PolyBoost for poly modelling. To sculpt I like Zbrush and Mudbox. To unwrap and texture I use Photoshop, Bodypaint and DeepUV. I typically use 3ds max to render - I like VRay and Mental Ray. I do compositing and post in Photoshop.
The other question I get asked quite often, is why I have a degree in
Biology from Johns
Hopkins University and a job as a CG artist. The answer is
quite simple: though I was interested in biology and majored in
it at Johns Hopkins, my passion has always been for digital artwork. I never realized that CG was a viable career until after I had graduated from university. Ever since then I've been making digital art and loving every minute of it :).
Well I've already rambled on for longer than I intended. Thanks
for visiting and take care of yourself.
